If you find yourself in Biograd na Moru, there is a big chance that you will notice a t-matix QR code somewhere in the town. A month ago, we decided to mark the beginning of summer and celebrate the company’s milestones by organizing a team building event, together with t-matix solutions – our sister company located in Austria.

We gathered around one Friday at noon, and as soon as a toast had been raised, games could begin! Divided into six teams, we started with the first game – Treasure Hunt. Two referees placed stickers with QR codes on different locations around Biograd. The rule was that the team to collect photos with all QR codes and team totems would be the winning team. After an exhausting pursuit, Team Duck took the lead with a slight advantage over Team Hypo.

The second challenge was called Identify the Person. The game was designed to encourage teamwork and reveal still unknown facts about team members. The teams had to fill in a table with different facts about their colleagues. That is how we learned who built a Tamagotchi from scratch, whose grandma was a famous opera singer, and who owns but never drives a car! Team Duck came out as winner again and thus became the overall winner. After the award ceremony filled with a lot of fun and laughter, we headed to a restaurant to enjoy some traditional Croatian food. Roasted veal under the bell really hit the spot!

The next day, bad weather spoiled our plans for a boat trip, but once we learned that the alternative was a wine-tasting tour in nearby vineyards, things turned for the better again! The day ended with a guitar-playing session, revealing some new singing talents. Before we left for our rooms, some of us successfully pitched our ideas for this year’s Christmas party.

After an exciting one-day rafting trip in Slovenia last year, this year brought an even better team building experience. Who knows what to expect from the next one! But I’m sure stories will be told…
